Brief Ingredient Summary
(Much more Information on the Ingredients Tab Above)
Valerian is a natural nootropic ingredient and has been used throughout history as a nootropic to promote feelings of calm, decrease levels of anxiety and stress, and enhances sleep.
Valerian helps boost GABA in your brain, inhibits GABA reuptake, modulates serotonin and norepinephrine, and activates adenosine receptors. This combination also reduces the stress hormones within the body.
L-Tryptophan is one of the best natural sleep aids you can find. It’s an essential amino acid and precursor to serotonin, melatonin, and Vitamin B3 (niacin) in your body and brain.
Tryptophan converts to 5-HTP, and then with the help of Vitamin B6 (P-5-P) produces serotonin in combination with our other ingredients to give you the best sleep possible.
Citicoline is an acetylcholine precursor, which one of the most important neurotransmitters released by motor neurons of the nervous system. Citicoline exhibits neuroprotective properties and assists in the transport of dopamine in the body.
Because citicoline is comprised of choline and cytidine, it converts to uridine in the body, which directly affects dopamine receptor levels and works with the other ingredients of Absolute Focus to perform better and increase it’s targeted effects.
Melatonin is a sleep and wakefulness hormone that occurs naturally in the brain’s sleep-cycle systems. In this concentrated form, Melatonin allows you to take control of your body clock, inducing deep, restful, natural sleep without daytime drowsiness.
Used together in our Crash And Reboot Nootropic, it combines to generate the chemicals your brain needs to a good night's rest that helps your brain recover.

Valerian is a natural nootropic ingredient and has been used throughout history as a nootropic to promote feelings of calm, decreases levels of anxiety and stress, and enhances sleep.
Valerian has also been traditionally been used for the treatment of headaches, anxiety, heart palpitations, high blood pressure, irritable bowel, menstrual cramps, epilepsy, and childhood behavior problems.
Valerian helps boost GABA in your brain, inhibits GABA reuptake, modulates serotonin and norepinephrine, and activates adenosine receptors. Valerian acts like an anti-inflammatory by reducing NF-κB (nuclear factor kappa-B). And improves blood flow by acting as a smooth muscle dilator.[i] Valerian helps eliminate stress by boosting GABA, serotonin, activating adenosine receptors, and reducing the stress hormone cortisol.
Melatonin (N-acetyl-5-methoxytryptamine) is known for helping insomnia, is a powerful antioxidant and anti-inflammatory, protects against neurodegenerative diseases, stroke and brain trauma.
It is a hormone primarily produced in the pineal gland. Your pineal gland is filled with cells that respond to light and darkness. Your pineal gland acts as your body’s central clock through its secretion of melatonin. Telling your brain, body and organs when it’s time to be active and when it’s time to rest. This is the reason why melatonin is referred to as the “sleep hormone”.
Serotonin acts as a neurotransmitter on its own. But is also converted into N-acetyl-serotonin by the enzymes serotonin N-acetyl transferase and Acetyl-CoA. Hydroxyindole O-methyl transferase and SAMe convert N-acetyl-serotonin into melatonin through methylation of the hydroxyl group.[vi]
Melatonin prevents neurodegenerative disease. Melatonin improves longevity by increasing the longevity gene called SIRT1. This gene plays an important role in maintaining metabolism and neuroplasticity.[xi]
Melatonin promotes quality sleep. Your pineal gland acts as your body’s central clock by secreting melatonin. This action tells your brain and other organs when it’s time to be active, and when it’s time to rest. Melatonin helps regulate other hormones and maintains your body’s circadian rhythm.[vii]
L-Tryptophan is the sole precursor of serotonin, which is often referred to as the “happiness molecule”. L-Tryptophan’s role in brain serotonin synthesis is critical for mood, behavior and cognition. Low serotonin levels can result in pain, insomnia, depression, seasonal affective disorder, and chronic fatigue.
For your body to manufacture serotonin, it needs an adequate supply of the natural amino acid L-Tryptophan. As a nootropic supplement, Tryptophan is used for anxiety, ADHD, depression, insomnia, memory loss, pain, and eating disorders.[i] Tryptophan boosts memory. Tryptophan’s main nootropic mechanism of action is as a precursor to the neurotransmitter serotonin. Other neurotransmitters such as melatonin and beta-endorphin increase following Tryptophan supplementation.[iv] Research shows that Tryptophan and serotonin play a significant role in memory. Enhanced brain serotonin has been shown to improve cognitive performance in animals and humans and decreasing levels of serotonin through Tryptophan depletion impairs cognition.
A lack of bioavailable L-Tryptophan in your body can have a big impact.
Citicoline is a powerful nootropic supplement best known for its potential to enhance memory and protect the brain against memory loss.[1]
Enhanced memory is only part of the Citicoline picture; it has also been shown to heighten focus, increase mental energy, improve reaction time, and provide better clarity of thought.[2] Recent studies indicate that in addition to boosting many aspects of cognition, Citicoline may also be a useful treatment for a host of medical problems including head injuries,[3] stroke,[4] age-related neurodegenerative diseases,[5] glaucoma,[6] and even drug dependency.[7]
For nootropic users, one of the most interesting aspects of Citicolineis its ability to amplify and enhance the effects of other nootropic supplements. As a cholinergic precursor that helps increase acetylcholine levels in the brain,[8] Citicoline works synergistically with racetam class nootropics, significantly potentiating the effects of memory boosters such as piracetam and pramiracetam while preventing the minor but annoying headaches that are common side effects associated with racetam supplementation.
Citicoline is a phospholipid that is hydrolyzed in the intestines and rapidly absorbed. On absorption, Citicoline (Also known as CDP choline) splits into choline and cytidine and is resynthesized in the liver and other tissues. It then disperses throughout the body, crossing the blood-brain barrier and entering the central nervous system.[9]
The cytidine is then converted into uridine, a nucleotide base that is crucial to neural membrane synthesis and is believed to enhance cognition. The released choline acts as a cholinergic, increasing levels of choline in the brain.
